  • How can I apply?

  • How do you handle confidentiality and privacy of applicant and application data? How long do you store information and what happens after the initial recruitment process?
    Keeping to GDPR regulations is of the upmost importance to us, here at ELFIN. We are also ISO/IEC 27001 certified. To ensure the protection of sensitive information, we have implemented strict security measures, including encryption protocols, secure database storage, and limited access to authorized personnel only. We are fully compliant with data protection regulations and strive to maintain the highest standards of data security. Additionally, we obtain explicit consent from applicants before sharing their information with potential employers and strictly adhere to confidentiality agreements. Rest assured that your data is safe with us, and we are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of our clients and candidates. As you can read from our Privacy Policy, we ask to save your application information for a 48 month period. This means that even after the initial interview and recruitment process we can reach out to you again for future exciting opportunities by our clients. Of course, removal from our database is always possible, which can be done by contact one of our team members (contact information) or following the link from the original confirmation email that you will have received on the day of your application submission.
  • What is our application and process timeline?
    1. Application Confirmation: Upon submitting your application, you will receive a confirmation email. This email includes important links to manage your data and privacy settings. 2. Application Review: Our team will carefully review your application against the open position’s requirements. We aim to get back to you promptly with an update. 3. Initial Interview: If your profile matches the role, we will arrange an initial interview, either via Microsoft Teams or over the phone. 4. CV Preparation: After the interview, we will fine-tune your CV and present it to our client on your behalf. 5. Client Feedback: Typically, we receive feedback from our clients within a few days, though this can vary depending on the company. 6. Interview Preparation: We will support you with detailed preparation for your interview with the client, ensuring you are ready for each stage. 7. Client Interview: The client interview is often conducted via video. In some cases, an onsite interview may be required. 8. Evaluation & Feedback: After the interviews, we’ll provide you with feedback and discuss next steps. 9. Offer: If successful, you will receive an offer, and we will guide you through any negotiations and details. 10. Start Date: Once all is finalized, you will begin your new role.   • What salary range can I expect?
    With the level of transparency that we work with, you might be surprised to not find salary ranges accompanying our job descriptions. There are a lot of variables both client and candidate side that dictates payment of a position. Therefore we much prefer to discuss this point on our initial interviews. Depending upon the information we have from our clients we can usually give more insight to payment details and set up.
  • How is the work flexibility / Home office / working hours?
    Each job posting will clearly indicate whether the position is available as On-site, Hybrid, or Remote. Many of the roles we support offer some form of hybrid or flexible working arrangements. However, since we work with a diverse range of clients across various industries and job functions, specific details about work flexibility can vary. During your initial conversation with our recruiters, we will provide a more detailed breakdown tailored to the role you’re interested in. As for working hours, most positions we hire for are full-time, typically involving 35, 37.5, or 40-hour work weeks, depending on the client and the job requirements.
  • What development opportunities are there for me?
    At ELFIN Engineering & Solutions, we place a strong emphasis on continuous personal development and a growth mindset—this applies not only to our internal team but also to all of our external employees. For our ANÜ (Temporary Employment) employees, we offer support for any training required during your role. In addition, we maintain ongoing partnerships with platforms like LinkedIn Learning, Rosetta Stone, and other professional development resources to help you enhance your skills and grow in your career.
  • What should I include in my CV?
    To make your application stand out and ensure we can process it efficiently, we recommend including the following key elements: Current Location and Willingness to Relocate: Clearly state your current location and whether you are open to relocating for the job. Up-to-date Contact Information: Include your phone number and email address, ensuring they are current. Well-structured in Chronological Order: List your work experience starting with the most recent position at the top, and make sure to include both months and years for all employment periods. IT Skills (where relevant): For IT or software roles, it’s helpful to show which IT skills or tools you’ve used in each role. Additionally, include a separate section that lists all your IT skills together, subdivided into technical areas if applicable. Languages: Mention any languages you speak, along with your proficiency level (e.g., fluent, conversational, basic). Finally, as CV reviewing can be time-sensitive, we recommend tailoring your CV to the specific job you’re applying for. Highlight the key skills and experiences that are most relevant to the position. This helps us identify your strengths quickly before we review your application in greater detail.
  • Do I need a cover letter? What should I include?
    A cover letter is not mandatory. However saying that, it can be a great insight into your motivations ahead of an initial talk with one of our team members. (Should you choose to add a cover letter, we would ask you to pay attention to the details before submitting. Including who you are addressing, and how it will add to your application.)
  • What qualifications do I require? What documents should I submit?
    Each of our job descriptions will specify what level of qualification is required or is desirable for the role. When opting to send your certificates, or additional documentation, we ask that you do so by replying directly to the confirmation email you will receive once you have applied for the role. These documents will then be saved under "additional files" section on your profile in our internal system.
  • What contract types are there?
    We work with our clients on both direct placements and personal leasing positions. When working with Labour leasing contracts (ANÜ)* we always offer a permanent and unlimited contract with our company. We aim to work on long-term positions with maximum job security in mind. *Arbeitnehmerüberlassung - We are audited and verified by the Federal Employment Agency (Bundesagentur für Arbeit) as a Labor Leasing company (Arbeitnehmerüberlassung - ANÜ) .

  • As a recent/soon to be graduate, what opportunities would there be fore me?
    As our clients come to us to seek mid-level professionals, less of the positions seem to be directed at graduates, often asking for multiple years of experience. However, there are times that job descriptions do not specify duration of experience required, and might be more open to relevant internships, work-student and thesis experiences.
  • How long does the recruitment process take?
    When we are search for the right person to join our team, it is our highest priority. From first conversation to offer, generally takes 1 - 2 weeks.
  • What should be on my CV?
    As you can imagine, working within the Recruitment & People area, there's an extra attention to detail we pay attention to when reviewing CV's for our internal positions. We like to understand what's important to you.
  • What is your working from home policy/hours?
    We proudly work with a flexible approach, and are happy to adapt and organise to life's various circumstances on an individual basis. Initially and for onboarding purposes, we ask for onsite and classical working hours.
  • Can I join as an Internship? How can I grow in my role?
    As personnel (and personal) development and growth is a priority for us, often we open internal roles to our Interns and working students.
  • What development opportunities will I have?
    Ongoing personal development and growth mind-set is important company wide. This includes not only for our internal but external employees. We are able to support any training required for a role as well as having an ongoing partnership with platforms such as LinkedIn Learning, Rosetta Stone and more. We offer individual training plans to each of our team members, and encourage open-minded approach's to work.
